Owner and Collaborators

Bridget Schneider, Owner

Bridget began Muscle for the Journey because her own journey was rooted in empowerment through movement. Born out of a path that led Bridget from an eating disorder, sexual assault, an abusive relationship, and a myriad of body image issues to empowerment and freedom.

Lifting was the avenue through which she ultimately gained the confidence to abandon the toxicity under which she was living. Through this experience, she gained a passion for helping others push past their comfort zone, look beyond the scale, and lift their spirits through lifting weights.

Bridget primarily uses strength training uniquely designed for each client in order to help them on a holistic path to health and wellness. She specializes in strength training through all walks of life including training folks who are new to fitness, fitness enthusiasts, differently abled folks, high school students, and powerlifters.

Kassi Schuppe, Collaborator

Kassi works with active adults and athletes because as an athlete and active person herself, she understands frustration of having pain or injuries get in the way of doing the things you love. Kassi understands the unique needs of the active population and wants to help you maintain your active lifestyle without multiple visits to the doctor, medication, injections, or surgery.

Kassi earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska Kearney in Business Administration and she was also a member of the Women's Basketball Team. She then attended Physical Therapy School at Des Moines University where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014 and was named the Graduate of Distinction. She has been practicing in the area of orthopedics since graduation with specializations in sports rehabilitation and manual therapy. Kassi has worked with professional athletes for the Iowa Wild, I-Cubs, and Iowa Energy (now the Iowa Wolves).
